Honolulu council OKs Kamehameha Schools’ plans for Haleiwa
Kamehameha Schools has received final approval for its redevelopment of the Oahu North Shore town of Haleiwa from the Honolulu City Council.
The Honolulu Star-Advertiser reports the council gave final approval Wednesday to the trust’s $12.6 million planned redevelopment of the area around Matsumoto Shave Ice that calls for tearing down four of nine existing buildings and constructing three new buildings.
