Hawaii to get $2.7M in settlement with Johnson & Johnson drug subsidiary
Hawaii is one of 36 states to share in a $181 million settlement that resolves claims that Janssen Pharmaceuticals Inc.improperly marketed its antipsychotic drugs Risperdal and Invega.
Hawaii will receive $2.7 million of the settlement with Janssen Pharmaceuticals and its parent company, Johnson & Johnson (NYSE: JNJ), under which the company agreed to change how it promotes and markets the antipsychotic drugs and agreed to stop any false, misleading or deceptive promotion of the drugs, the Hawaii Office of Consumer Protection said.
