Farmers Hawaii President Michele Saito dismissed in restructuring

Michele Saito has been dismissed as Hawaii president of Farmers Insurance Group as part of a restructuring tied to the 2009 purchase of AIG subsidiary 21st Century Insurance Group.

The Honolulu Star-Advertiser reports the executive team that had reported to Saito, whose departure was effective Monday, will report to corporate executives at Los Angeles-based Farmers. The newspaper quotes a corporate spokesman who said that Farmers does not have local presidents at any of its offices in the other 49 states.
